This is exactly what I thought. Buonamassa began prototyping dials immediately. He says, "We tried a lot of dials." Some dials were too luminous, so they would glow in the normal light. Others were not bright enough. "We wanted to achieve the perfect balance between a white dial that looked normal in daylight and a glowing, luminous chronograph when it was dark.
